This Privacy Policy explains how Hiivibe ("the App") handles information when you use its illustrated-memory features. It describes the current version, 0.4.0.
1. Summary
- Hiivibe turns written or recorded memories and selected character photos into illustrated stories.
- Stories, drafts, images, preferences, and usage records are saved locally on your device. The App does not require account registration or provide cloud synchronization.
- Online AI features send the relevant text, audio, or images to SiliconFlow. Local storage does not mean that AI processing happens entirely on your device.
- The current App has no advertising, tracking, analytics, or crash-reporting SDK integration and does not transmit your information for sale or to data brokers.
2. Information We Process
2.1 Information you provide
- Memory text: memories you type, transcribed speech, summaries you revise, and instructions for editing illustrations. These may include information about you or other people that you choose to describe.
- Voice recordings: recordings of approximately 3–60 seconds that you create using the microphone. You can listen to a recording locally before continuing with transcription.
- Reference photos: one to three photos you select for a memory. Copies are stored with the draft or story and used to preserve the appearance of people in generated illustrations.
- Profile photo: an optional avatar selected from your photo library or taken with the camera. The current App stores and displays this locally and does not send it to the AI service as a profile photo.
- Preferences: illustration style, request limits, budget settings, and other saved options.
Reference-photo copies are resized and re-encoded to remove embedded metadata, including EXIF and GPS metadata, before use. This does not remove personal information visible in the picture. This metadata-removal process applies to story reference photos; it is not a promise about every image handled by the App.
Only provide information and photos you have permission to use, including permission from other people where necessary. Avoid including sensitive information that is unnecessary for your story.
2.2 Information generated or saved by the App
The App saves story titles, summaries, captions, scene descriptions, illustrations, reference-photo copies, and creation or modification dates. It also saves generation progress, recovery information, image download URLs, request identifiers, content checksums, error information, request counts, and estimated usage costs. These operational records support local recovery, duplicate-request prevention, and budget controls.
2.3 Information not requested by current features
The App does not request contacts, device location, health records, payment-card details, or advertising identifiers. It has no account-registration form. Information of these kinds may nevertheless be processed if you include it in a memory, recording, or selected image.
3. How Information Is Used
Information is used to record and organize memories, transcribe speech, create and edit illustrated stories, display your local library and avatar, restore saved drafts or interrupted work, apply your preferences, and track estimated AI usage against your limits.
4. Local Storage and Security
The App stores structured records in an on-device SQLite database and images in its application support directory. Recordings and some image-processing files are temporary. The built-in AI service credential is stored using platform secure storage; you do not need to enter your own service credentials.
AI API requests use HTTPS. These measures do not make your content anonymous or guarantee absolute security.
Hiivibe has no application-managed cloud backup or synchronization. Its iOS data directory is marked as excluded from backup, and its Android configuration disables application backup. Device transfer, operating-system behavior, and copies outside the App remain outside these controls.
5. Third-Party Processing
Hiivibe uses SiliconFlow's service at api.siliconflow.cn for the following actions:

Returned text and images are saved locally. When SiliconFlow returns an image URL, the App downloads that image from the specified hosting service. That service receives the download request and associated network information, such as your IP address.
SiliconFlow's published policy describes collection of API logs such as IP addresses, model names, token consumption, request times, and status codes. Its processing, retention, and handling of input and output content are governed by its own Privacy Policy and Platform Use Agreement.
Selecting a photo or recording audio does not itself start an AI upload. Uploads occur when you continue to transcription, generate or edit content, or explicitly continue unfinished generation. Canceling a request cannot recall information already transmitted.
6. Permissions
- Microphone: requested when you start recording. You can type a memory instead.
- Photos: used through the system picker to select an avatar or reference photos. Story creation uses the photos you choose rather than scanning your entire library. iOS includes a photo-library usage description; the Android manifest does not request broad storage or media-library access.
- Camera: used when you choose to take a profile photo. iOS declares camera usage; Android uses the system camera flow without an App-declared camera permission.
- Internet: used for AI requests and generated-image downloads.
You can manage available permissions in your device settings. Revoking a permission restricts future access but does not delete existing App copies or information already sent to a provider. The current App does not request notification permission; its notification switch only saves a preference.
7. Sharing and Advertising
The App sends content to the services described in Section 5 to perform your requested AI actions. It has no public posting, social feed, advertising network, data-broker integration, or cross-app tracking functionality. The current share and export interfaces do not implement external sharing or file export.
8. Retention and Your Controls
- Saved content: drafts, stories, reference photos, and other local records remain until you remove them. There is no automatic expiry for saved stories or usage history.
- Recordings: the App deletes the local recording after a transcription attempt finishes, including failure or cancellation, and when you discard or replace it, switch to text input, or leave capture. Temporary files left by an interruption are subject to cleanup on a later launch; deletion may be delayed by storage errors. Transcribed text remains in your saved draft.
- Drafts and photos: you can revise the summary before generation, remove or replace selected reference photos, or discard a draft.
- Individual stories: the Library deletion action removes the story and its associated App images and reference copies. Request and usage records can remain for budget accounting.
- All local data: use Settings → Local data → Delete all local data to remove stories, drafts, images, avatar, preferences, and usage history. The built-in AI service configuration is restored so the service remains available. If cleanup fails, follow the displayed retry instruction or restart the App to resume cleanup.
- Originals and external copies: deleting App data does not delete originals in your system photo library or any copies outside the App. Uninstalling may remove local App data, subject to operating-system behavior.
- Provider data: local deletion does not issue a deletion request to SiliconFlow or its image-hosting services. Their retention rules continue to apply. Use the support contact below for questions about information sent through Hiivibe.
The high-resolution export and Save originals to Photos switches currently save preferences only. They do not export content or save it to the system photo library.
9. Processing Across Borders
The App connects to SiliconFlow's China-domain service. Depending on your location and the provider's infrastructure, using online features may involve processing outside your country or region. Provider-side storage and transfer arrangements are described in SiliconFlow's privacy policy; this App does not offer a processing-region selector.
10. Children's Information
The current App does not collect a date of birth or implement age verification or a parental-consent flow. Do not submit a child's personal information unless you have the authority and any permission required to do so. If you are a parent or guardian concerned about information entered into Hiivibe, use the local deletion controls and contact the support channel below regarding any online processing.
11. Changes to This Policy
When this policy changes, the revised document will show an updated Last Updated date and be made available with the App or on its distribution page.

When you email support, your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to include are used to respond to your request. Please do not send passwords, API keys, or unnecessary sensitive information.
The Hiivibe website provides product information, support contact details, and this policy. Its pages do not use advertising trackers, analytics scripts, cookies, or browser storage. The hosting service may receive connection information, such as your IP address and the page requested, to deliver the website.
